Micro-Business Training (MBT) Program
As business owners are you looking to upgrade your skills? Marketing? Social Media? Data Base Management? Sales Management? Websites?
$1000 Available To You
Thanks to active advocacy by the Trail and District Chamber of Commerce and other Chambers throughout B.C., the reach and impact of a training program for micro-business owners has been increased.
The province has provided funds to extend the Micro-Business Training (MBT) program for 2014, with funding for approximately 550 more candidates. Micro-businesses are defined as having fewer than five employees.
But while the previous iteration of the program limited eligibility to micro-business owners with no post-secondary education, Chamber advocacy has succeeded in broadening the program’s reach in 2014.
This year, the program includes:
274 spots for micro-business owners under the old criteria (which stipulated, among other requirements, no post-secondary education); and
274 spots for micro-business owners who meet basic program criteria but have a post-secondary education. Due to high numbers of applications, the openings for the post-secondary education spots have been filled. Please feel free to apply in order to be put on a waiting list.
The MBT program have started accepting applications now.
Participants are chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis. DO NOT DELAY AND BE DISAPPOINTED.
